What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your phone number. If you sign in with Apple, we receive whatever information Apple provides (typically a name and a private relay email).

When you create or participate in a plan, we store the plan details, invitees, votes, comments, RSVP status, and related activity needed to show and coordinate the plan.

If you choose to add locations, we store the city, neighborhood, or area you enter or select. If you use device location to suggest an area, we may store the approximate coordinates associated with that saved area.

If you choose to find friends from your contacts, we read contact names, email addresses, and phone numbers from your device. Phone numbers are normalized and hashed before matching. We may store contact email addresses and phone hashes so we can match friends and notify you when someone you know joins Lets.

If you upload a profile photo, it is stored in our cloud storage and displayed in the app. If you enable push notifications, we store your device push token so we can send plan activity notifications. If you report or block someone, we store that report or block record so we can operate safety and moderation features.

How we use it

We use your information solely to operate the app: showing your plans, matching invites to your account, helping friends find each other, sending optional plan notifications, supporting moderation, and deleting or restoring account-related data when requested. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see your data

Other users who are connected to you or share a plan with you may see your name, profile photo, email address, and, when available, phone number in friend and profile views. Plan details, votes, comments, and RSVP information are visible to the organizer and the people invited to that plan. Public web RSVP links show limited plan details and attendee names to anyone with the link.

Reports are private to our moderation process. People you report are not told who reported them. Blocking someone limits what you see from each other and removes direct friendship links.

Data retention

Your data is retained as long as needed to provide the app and maintain safety features. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab in the app. Account deletion removes your account and associated personal data from our active records unless we are legally required to keep limited information.

Third-party services

We use Supabase for authentication, data storage, file storage, Edge Functions, and push-token storage. Authentication via Sign In with Apple is handled by Apple. We use Apple services for maps, location lookups, calendar access, Sign in with Apple, and push notifications. Some activity idea features use Anthropic to generate short plan suggestions. We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs.
